Can I receive and send money from my PayPal account if it is not verified or linked to a bank account/card?

I live in a country that doesn’t allow me to link my bank account or card with my PayPal account. For this reason I mainly use sites that pay through Skrill, Neteller or Bitcoin. However I have 15$ in a site that only pays through PayPal. Can receive them into my account that is not linked to anything, then send them to a friend from another country?

      1. Yes, you need a bank account or credit card, but you can buy empty vccs online for $1-$3 that work with PayPal. Alternatively you can buy a visa gift card from the store but those start at $25 + fees

          1. some do and some do not. you need to use the direct deposit info and enter the card as a bank and not a card to get verified

  2. You can receive money without being verified. I think you can send money as well, but there are limits on it. I’m not quite sure what the limits are though, I just remember someone mentioning it before.

  3. You can send and receive up to so much before they make you verify the account. It used to be 500$. But in that time they may ask you to verify at anytime. It is completely up to them.
I make unverified accounts a lot and use them for various activities. I generally use the unverified account for 2 or 3 transactions and I send the money to one of my verified accounts then cash out to my bank or PayPal card
Just know that it’s possible to get an unverified account frozen at anytime. But it’s highly unlikely they will shut one down in the first few transactions

  4. So I’ve used PayPal on and off for many years and had no idea my account wasn’t verified. I’ve received a significant amount through it and paid with it (though usually used a debit card through PayPal when paying).

That said, i went to redeem a payment from a beer money site this morning and it wouldn’t allow me to and made me verify. Just to be clear, it was the beer money site itself that required a verified account (even to redeem for gift cards) not PayPal. So word of caution, since you’re unable to verify, be very sure the sites you’re using don’t require a verified account to pay out.

  5. I’ve used unverified PayPal accounts to send, receive, and even pay for things online. But eventually PayPal will lock down your account after an unspecified amount of activity, and you won’t be able to send /receive/cash out your funds at all, they’ll be completely frozen.
