Free any-size drink from Starbucks!

It’s been a while since I’ve shared some free food here, and I missed you all. As an apology for my absence, enjoy some free Starbucks!

**Free Starbucks drink with Spotify free trial**

Starbucks is partnering with Spotify to offer you 125 Starbucks rewards stars (enough for one free drink of any size!) when you sign up for a 60-day free Spotify trial. The code for the 125 stars will be emailed to you within 3 days of signing up. You can do so by going to

The promo is limited to the first 110,000 people, so if you’re interested do this sooner than later! And since it’s open to first time Spotify premium users only, if you’ve used it before you’ll have to sign up with a different email and credit card.

After the 60 day trial, you’ll be auto-charged $9.99 a month for Spotify premium. If you want to avoid this while still enjoying the free trial, I recommend creating an event in Google Calendar (or whatever calendar software you use)called “Cancel [trial name]” on a day a few days before the trial is set to end. That event will pop up on your phone that day, reminding you to cancel with a few days to spare.

**Starbucks BOGO on Holiday Drinks**

I figured I’d mention this in this post, but Starbucks also has a BOGO from today through November 13 on Holiday drinks from 2-5 PM each day.

The Holiday Drinks list is:

Chestnut Praline Latte, Peppermint Mocha, Carmel Brulee Latte, Eggnog Latte, Holiday Spice Flat White and Teavana Joy brewed tea.

  1. Damn, you should have your own subreddit so I could subscribe to this and get regular updates…thanks for sharing it though

    1. I did create /r/freefoodguy, but haven’t done much with it yet. You can follow my profile like /u/fishering suggested, but I only post a subset of the food deals I find here (any decent deal I post on The top 10% of those get posted here).

I’ve tried to make my posts available on as many platforms as possible so you can choose the one that works best for you.

      * website,

      * email list, which you can sign up for on the website. This is the most popular way people stay informed. I typically send out an email once a week with a roundup of the latest free food opportunities.

          1. I thought it was the post it notes, eh you gave me and my mates something to laugh about anyway. Thanks for that

  2. I signed up but could not find my starbucks points :/ Is it emailed to you?

Edit: I’m an idiot who got too excited… for anyone who didn’t read it, it gives you the points via email after 3 days!

    1. don’t ever buy the bottled ones from wallymarts. it’s basically like someone took a shit ton of coffee creamer and pumpkin spice powder and shook it up the same way you’d mix a nesquik.

i’m predicting the peppermint mocha (i follow a few food bloggers) is the same.

edit: i see i triggered a few basic lurkers.

      1. The peppermint mocha wasn’t as bad as their other bottled coffees. Just bland. The little bit of mocha taste it had in it was hijacked by the peppermint. Still a good flavor, but not if you’re in it for the coffee taste.

        1. yeah i noticed a few cases of those rumbling around since my post. that’s probably (flavor wise) why my local walmart went from rotating it from the middle back end cap aisle to the front by the u-scan machines. at least in my location they only do this when the numbers are horrible for that specific product line.

gimmick’s don’t always work. although mint itself is kind of hard to screw up at least with some products.

          1. Have you ever tried the Dunkin Donut’s bottled iced coffees? They’re my favorite. The espresso one specifically. Waaaay better than all of the Starbucks bottled coffees combined.

          2. oddly enough nope. i might on my next beermoney run. i live crawling distance to a dunkin yet never went there either.

  3. It should be added that you should be able to use those stars for a free drink however you want it. Want 8 shots of espresso? Free! Extra caramel drizzle? Free! Also works on food items

    1. Shoot, I should’ve mentioned you can use it for food too! I recall a Youtube video where somebody adds so many extras to a drink that the final cost is ~$50, and then I think uses 125 stars and gets it for free.

  4. Does anyone know if you have to physically go into Starbucks to get the BOGO offer? Or can you mobile order? Thanks in advance.

    1. In the past, I’ve been able to mobile order during the BOGO offer. When its time, the offer should pop up in their app. 🙂

      1. I hit gold two months ago and said fuck it, and stopped using my card because it seemed like there was no real advantage in it. Free refills as long as you’re in store seemed like the biggest perk but I never hang out there, just stop in, grab a coffee and go

        1. I have somehow maintained gold for the last 3 years with only using my card maybe like four times a year. I buy a lot of my Starbucks gift cards off groupon though when they’re offering the $5 for a $10 gift card, which they offer a lot.

  5. Sign up for a $10/month service and get a free drink? Hell, I remember when I $15 sub to AOL or MSN would get you a free Gateway 2000 computer! (yes, I know it’s the trial, just having fun with it.)

  6. I have a pending charge on my bank account for $9.99. did I do it wrong, or will that charge go away? Does anyone else show a pending charge?
