uTest VPN – Earn $10 Per Month (Plus Referrals) for US and India

Hey guys, another VPN app that is up and active. This one is through uTest and I have participated in the past before they closed it down and it looks like it is open again. However, some apps will not work with a VPN so be aware. Otherwise, they paid out well before (but I am new to this re-vamped version) and the payment gets sent to Paypal via uTest.

# Program Payout Specifics:

>**You will earn $10 per month** for each month the application is active on your phone. **In addition, you can earn $15 per month, per referral** that you provide that is also considered active in our program, plus additional bonuses for providing 5 or more active referrals.
>
>So $10 base plus any referrals paid out via Paypal on the 15th of each month.
>
>**Have 2 referrals? Then you will receive a total of $40 per month (two $15 payments plus your base of $10).**

# Who is Eligible:

>**Location:** United States and India as of 12/26/2018 (only iPhone option for India)
>
>**Device Requirements:** iOS 10.0+ or Android 6.0 and below, smartphones only
>
>**Age:** 13-35
>
>**Project Start Date:** Now
>
>**Project End Date:** N/A – through at least June 2019

# What is the App’s Purpose:

>The research app will be generating statistics about how participants use their phone and mobile apps and will gather data including website URLs, general app usage, data usage, and other general trends in order to improve the user experience.

>That is my imgur link from when the project used to be held on uTest by Applause which also did Facebook research. This new project is a re-opening of their past one that just re-invited me so I have yet to get a new payment confirmation.

# Joining the Program:

>You might need to sign-up using your phone as I had to but it could be because it remembered me. So not sure, it will let you know if you need to do this.
>
>I will post updates if anything and you can always PM me to see how it is later on or whatever you want.
>
>It downloads from Facebook and I am pretty sure it is the Betabound app but listed on uTest since it is exactly the same installation and app icon. I did this app over a year or two ago and they have gone through changes. This is nice to place on a separate phone 😉
>
>***However, this one keeps giving you the referral bonus, why does the other one only do one time? >:(***
>
>**Referral (much appreciated if you want to use it)**: PM me! I need to manually add it with your name/email you want and then it sends you the form.

    1. So far, no issues for me. I know the old one did that to me towards the end but the new one seems to be fine so far. Perhaps you can try re-installing it.

        1. Shoot, forgot that you are in India, yeah, they currently are restricted to iPhone only for you guys. As for Facebook, I do not have one and it never asked me.

          1. Thanks for the offer, their referrals are weird though in that I have to fill out a form. I would just put a first name for you and the email you want me to send it to and then it sends the referral. They do not provide the code to give out.

  1. Of you don’t pay for the Product, you are the product.

Also a vpn profile has the most rights possible on a phone. Many scammers get people to install von profiles so they can scrap their mail and other traffic.

        1. I did not downvote you as I appreciate your insight. Perhaps someone else did but there is no need for hostility. You expressed a valid statement and I responded to it.

  2. This is less than the atlas one. I get $20. I’ll send link/info if anyone’s interested but I think it’s been mentioned here before

    1. Basically, it is the same program which I mention but is different from Betabound (which is Atlas) in that this one pays via Paypal (not Amazon) and your referral incentives are per month versus Betabound’s one-time bonus.

I also have Betabound/Atlas on another phone.

    2. So you get your $10 and an additional $15 per month per referral.

For example, if I had 2 referrals, I would get $40 each month versus Betabound’s one-time bonus.

        1. Yeah, it is good for people who may have another phone they can just put this on and do a few minutes of something a day to keep it active. I know I can benefit from either payment method.

  3. >Oops! Looks like you are trying to sign-up from an ineligible device. Right now, we are only accepting participants with iOS or Android mobile phones.

    >If you received this error from an iPhone or Android mobile phone, you may need to upgrade your operating system before registering again. The research application requires Android version 6.0 or below, or iOS version 10.0 or above.

So you need to do it from a phone that is atleast android 6 or ios 10

  4. Doesn’t work for me. Keeps saying I am not in the USA when I sign up. I am in the usa and have location set to on. Anyone else have this issue?

      1. I suppose, if it was a device I didn’t use and that didn’t have any passwords or anything on it. Tunneling all your data through a VPN they control is like the holy grail for data miners…they are in a position to record and examine everything sent and received by your phone, so they basically get everything about you. And then if they get hacked, then everyone gets everything about you. Not worth it for a few bucks.

        1. You are exactly right on the VPN thing. Last time I checked, this project was for/from Facebook, one of the biggest data miners.

    1. Yes so it is typically recommended to put it on an older phone you may not use much/care about. This one is by Facebook and they mine your data and see what you data to understand behaviors and your usage.
